Daniel Greiff
President, Global Metals International Consulting
Strategic Partner

Daniel Greiff has had a long history in the metals service center business. After graduating from the University of Connecticut, Daniel joined Belle Steel Company in Boston, MA. Working for this full line steel service center, he quickly became familiar with operations, sales, purchasing and administration. While still in his 20's, Daniel and another employee bought the business from the owner and renamed it Bellesteel Industries.

Daniel ran the new company and joined the Young Presidents and World's Presidents organizations. To expand his business knowledge he also attended Harvard Business School's Owner/President Management Program. Through these organizations Daniel was exposed to many different kinds of businesses and was able to benchmark and take back to Bellesteel the best practices of each one. He and his team were able to grow Bellesteel Industries to become one of New England's largest flat rolled steel service centers where to the company's basic carbon steel product offering he added additional products such as stainless steel and aluminum.

Early on Daniel recognized the changes in the metals markets and developed relationships with a number of international mills that produced high quality products at competitive prices. He eventually purchased his partner's interest in Bellesteel and then sold the company to a large international metals group in 2001. After the sale Daniel created Steelhide Trading with offices in Boston and Shanghai, China where he imported aluminum sheet and coil from international mills.

Today Daniel leverages four decades of significant and valuable business knowledge and experience, consulting and coaching "C" suite executives. He lives in Massachusetts with his wife and three children along with a handsome chocolate lab. Daniel remains very active in community affairs and sports in the area.
