Diane B. Banis

Diane Banis began her recruiting career over 25 years ago as a Human Resource professional for Federal Signal Corporation, a Fortune 1000 manufacturing company. Diane's professional experience includes positions of Human Resource Manager for several other companies as well. As she continued her career in the Human Resource field, she began to focus almost entirely on research and recruiting. It was apparent to her that there was a critical shortage of good recruiting professionals; and this knowledge led Diane to focus her efforts assisting companies in finding talented and experienced professionals to meet their business goals.

Diane became a seasoned recruiter with extensive experience in research and sourcing as well as recruiting. She put this background to work as the manager of a newly formed recruiting firm where she was instrumental in successfully obtaining and managing country-wide contracts. These contracts necessitated identifying and training researchers to conduct multiple searches across the country in fields such as Manufacturing, Telecommunications, Engineering/Construction, Finance, Financial Service, Insurance and other industries.

In 1994, Diane became the Vice President of Operations for a retained search firm whose practice was almost entirely focused in the manufacturing and engineering sectors: metals, aerospace, electronics, telecommunications on the manufacturing side and engineering design/build, petrochemicals, petroleum and construction on the engineering side. Here she worked closely with all their clients and supervised a team of researchers and recruiters to insure that their clients' expectations were always met professionally.

Over 15 years ago, Diane became aware of the many search firms that were without a solid Recruiting Operations Department. This led her to begin her own research company to partner with search firm clients, helping them identify the talent they needed to be successful in today's business climate.

In 2004, Diane and her team joined The Leadership Search Group to provide the professional research required for the growing business. Today there are nine professionals available to The Leadership Search Group to develop target lists, identify potential candidates and initially screen candidates to help the firm in completing searches quickly and efficiently.

Diane is a graduate of Illinois Benedictine College's Management Program. She and her family live in Evergreen Park, IL, where she is actively involved in her church and community.
